Jacob Jessup
Indoor Environmental Professional
Jacob (Jake) is an Environmental Technician at ESG with a background in Building Science and a growing portfolio of technical fieldwork focused on indoor environmental quality. A graduate of Appalachian State University, Jake brings a systems based approach to ESG’s on-site investigations, applying his understanding of construction, airflow, and building materials to help identify the root causes of moisture intrusion, microbial growth, and other air quality challenges.
Prior to joining ESG in 2025, Jake gained hands-on experience in sustainable agriculture and data analysis, working across a range of dynamic environments, from mushroom cultivation to operational logistics. His adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to translate building science into real world diagnostics make him a valuable asset on both residential and commercial projects.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys watching basketball and football, visiting local hobby shops, and spending time with friends. His curiosity about how systems function, whether environmental or structural, drives his passion for continuous learning and precision in the field.
